08.30 hrs Reception at The Grand Harbour Hotel Southampton - Coffee, Tea, Danish Pastries & Orange Juice served. 09.30 hrs Once all the guests have arrived, Solent Power event manager will escort guests to Town Quay Marina to join their Yacht for the day. 10.00 hrs Following the skipper’s safety briefing, depart mooring and cruise up Southampton Water into the Solent 11.00 hrs Moet Champagne will be served, along with some nibbles, whilst cruising one of the beautiful rivers in the area. Or whilst sailing to your luncheon destination 13.00 hrs Enjoy a gourmet 4 course luncheon served with fine wines. 14.30 hrs Depart Luncheon Venue and guests will re join their yacht – On a powerboat day why not power up for a cruise past the fabulous Needles Lighthouse & stunning cliffs of Alum Bay. 16.30 hrs Arrive back at Town Quay Marina, where guests will be escorted back to the Grand Harbour Hotel. 0930 hrs Guests arrive at The Royal Southern Yacht Club – HamblTea, coffee & Danish pastries served. Guests are split into teams and skippers introduced. General Briefing on day’s activities. 1000 hrs Teams are shown to their yachts for a full Skipper’s safety briefing and prepare for departure. 1030 hrs Teams depart for practice, familiarisation and basic sailing tuition. All team members will have the opportunity to take a full part in sailing the yachts, including helming and trimming sails. 1130 hrs RACE ONE 1230 hrs Moor along side at Cowes, Isle of Wight; Race day lunch on board the yachts 1400 hrs Yachts depart for afternoon races. 1430 hrs RACE TWO 15300 hrs RACE THREE 1700 hrs Yachts arrive back at The Royal Southern Yacht Club 1730 hrs Champagne prizes awarded. 08.30 hrs Reception at The Grand Harbour Hotel Southampton - Coffee, Tea, Danish Pastries & Orange Juice served. 09.30 hrs Once all the guests have arrived, Solent Power event manager will escort guests to Town Quay Marina to join their Yacht for the day. 10.00 hrs Following the skipper’s safety briefing, depart mooring and cruise up Southampton Water into the Solent, toward the racing action at Cowes. 11.00 hrs Moet Champagne will be served, along with some nibbles, whilst watching the race starts. Follow the racing with the help of our exclusive Solent Power racing guides. 12.00 hrs Follow the racing as we cruise up towards Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight, where we will moor up and guests will be transferred ashore to this beautiful old village to The George Hotel. 13.00 hrs Enjoy a gourmet 4 course luncheon served with fine wines. 14.30 hrs Depart The George and guests will re join their Sunseeker – cruise back to watch the action or power up for a cruise past the fabulous Needles Lighthouse & stunning cliffs of Alum Bay. 16.30 hrs Return to Cowes and take up anchor to enjoy the best position to watch the fireworks, which are fired from a floating barge. If guests would like, we can drop them ashore aboard our Solent Power RIB to enjoy some of the land based festivities, before returning back to the boat for evening dinner. 19.30 hrs Enjoy a pre-dinner glass of Moet Champagne, before tucking into a very high quality buffet spread which will be served aboard, together with fine wines. 21.30 hrs You have the best seat in the house! To watch the fantastic firework display – lasting over half an hour. Enjoy an evening cruise back to Southampton. 23.00 hrs Arrive back at Town Quay Marina, where guests will be escorted back to the Grand Harbour Hotel. |
